Top 99 Player Competes in the Prestigious Brick Invitational Tournament in Edmonton

Our 99 Prospects player, Ben Higgins from Truro, recently competed with the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks, while in Edmonton for the exclusive Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament, which is only for atom minor players from across North America.

Ben finished second on his team in scoring and in the top 24 of the tournament. Former champions of this tournament include Jonathan Toews, Dion Phaneuf and Jay Bouwmeester.

Ben had also competed with the Jr Blackhawks at the Cougars Selects Tournament in Chicago. Ben's team finished second in the tournament to the Detroit Jr Redwings. Ben finished near the top of this tournament in scoring. Way to go Ben, the Prospects are proud of your accomplishments.

The Prospects are very proud of being the only Atlantic Canadian organization who actively works with other spring organizations to provide opportunities for our players outside of our spring development season. We have had our players join other teams for tournaments in Shediac, many in Montreal, Las Vegas, Florida, Buffalo, New York City, Toronto, Chicago, and Edmonton.

This season we also had Nick Welsh and Campbell Pickard join the Montreal Redhawks for the NAPS tournament in Buffalo and will have Noah Bauld joining the Cougars Selects out of Chicago for a 1997 aged only tournament in New York City. The Prospects also facilitated Andrew Picco from Newfoundland going to Buffalo for the NAPS with a team out of Chicago and Cody Doyle from PEI going to New York City with another team from Chicago.

Other organizations recognize that the Prospects have the most skilled players available, working with the most skilled professional coaches, in the most elite development program in the Atlantic provinces.
