Philosophy

The Nova Scotia Hockey Prospects Development Program (NSHDP) enables each player's development of their individual fundamental skills; skating passing and shooting, to their greatest potential.

 

The Nova Scotia Hockey Prospects Development Program brings together THE MOST ELITE hockey players from all regions of Nova Scotia to receive the very best individual skill development instruction available in the Atlantic Provinces. We will have the best playing with the best. Our players will be challenged to achieve their greatest potential not only by our instructors but by their elite level peers.

 

The Nova Scotia Hockey Prospects Development Program is open by invitation only. Players selected for invitation have been rigorously evaluated throughout the minor hockey season, spring development season, and summer camps and leagues by our on ice instructors. Invitations will be extended by our Advisory Council under the leadership of our Director of  Player Development. Tryouts are not held.

 

Mission
To assist the top Nova Scotia hockey prospects achieve their maximum hockey potential while learning important life lessons such as integrity, commitment and determination.

» NSHDP is committed to developing top elite programs with professional hockey instructors to help young prospects become better all-around athletes and people.

» NSHDP strive to work with other hockey partners to provide hockey programs of excellence to young prospects during the summer.

» NSHDP make the August-May season "a fun hockey learning environment" for all invited, who want to take advantage of what the program has to offer.

» NSHDP gives its players great exposure by participating in great events along side other strong players in their age group.

» NSHDP is well connected within the hockey industry and assists young prospects by giving them exposure and the opportunity to choose the best route in hockey, including major midget, Prep schools, junior programs and NCAA programs.

» NSHDP coaching staff’s dedication to the players goes beyond the ice and they are always a phone call away for any advice that might be helpful regarding a player's hockey life or otherwise.
