Coach Tomlinson wins Hockey Nova Scotia award!

Kirk Tomlinson, head coach of the 99 Prospects, has won the NHS Clary MacDonald award as Coach of the Year

Coach Tomlinson has been award the HNS Coach of the Year for his fantastic work and coaching with his major midget team, Halifax Taylar Made Security Titans, and as the techincal director for the TASA Minor Hockey Association.

This marks Kirk's third Coach of the Year award!

Kirk previously won a professional Coach of the Year award in 2001-2002 as the head coach of the Colorado Gold Kings of the West Coast Hockey League, and in 2007-2008 as NS Major Midget Hockey League's Coach of the Yaear while coaching the Halifax McDonald's.

We are very proud of Coach Tomlinson and are honoured to have him guiding our 1999 team.

HNS Clary MacDonald Award – Coach of the Year

This award was established by the Officers of Hockey Nova Scotia in recognition of the outstanding service given by the late Clary Macdonald to amateur hockey as a volunteer for many years. Mr. Clary MacDonald was a member of the Hockey Nova Scotia Executive for many years serving as Secretary and Register. This award in his name is presented to the Coach of the Year for Hockey Nova Scotia. The Coach of the Year has demonstrated the qualities of positive leadership through the development of his or her players and overall team success.
