Novice Minor

The Nova Scotia Prospects is the highest performing tier 1 or elite hockey development program in Eastern Canada. The Prospects are eagerly anticipating participation in elite tournament, play with our partners from the New Brunswick Stars, Prince Edward Island Xtreme and St. F. X. Jr. X-men, during the Spring 2012 development season, for our 1999-2003 aged teams. This is the highest level of tournament competition available in Atlantic Canada, and will mean immense development opportunities for our players.

The Nova Scotia Prospects Development program will not be icing an elite program at the Novice Minor age group (2004 born players for the 2012 spring), as part of our spring development program.

The Nova Scotia Prospects Development Program would encourage all Novice Minor hockey players and their families to take part in the Atlantic Hockey Group's AAA series, as an excellent development opportunity during April and May for a novice minor player's progression. Players will enter the Prospects elite organization as Novice Major players.

As part of the identification and recruitment process for the Prospects elite program, we will be creating an all star group from those registered in the Atlantic Hockey Group's Novice Minor AAA Series. This all star group will have the opportunity to participate in two weekend training camps, during the spring development season. The training camps will feature the amazing Prospects coaching staff, whose development curriculum is the best in Eastern Canada. The all star group will also participate in off ice training, team building and the possibility of games against appropriate competition.

The all star group may also have the opportunity for additional development sessions during the spring development season.

The NS Prospects will be using the AHG Novice Minor AAA Series as the primary identification tool for entry into our elite programming.
