Another Successful Weekend For NS Prospects Teams

Our 2001 and 2000 NSP teams had another great weekend of tournament play during the NS Cup held in Halifax.

After a slow start the 2001 team got on their typical roll and brought home the gold with a 7-0 win in the final. Word has it that the championship game was the 01s most solid effort of this spring season.

In their first tournament of the season the 2000 team had a fantastic round robin segment to their tournament as they went 3-0 and into the semis as the #1 seed. The semi game was a hard fought, back and forth affair which went into overtime. Unfortunately our 00 team lost a heartbreaker but had the chance to still end the tournament on a winning note in the bronze medal game.

To the credit of the players and coaches they regrouped and refocused quickly and came away with a superb effort and a bronze medal.
